New Me

I can´t believe it´s almost March already. It´s been a while since I´ve written here and a lot has happened in this time. Let´s just say 2020 has proven to be pretty eventful.

After losing a very important person to me, I´ve come to realize something very clearly: it´s important to live in the moment. Of course, in my head I always knew this is important, but in everyday life it´s very difficult to stop and just breathe without planing three moves ahead.

With this great loss, I´ve also come to realize it is very important in life to follow my dreams. Now, I know this might be contradictory to living in the moment, but I think I can find a balance. BALANCE – the most important thing in the Universe and the most difficult to achieve.

So, I´ve decided not to set some big goals (that in a moment of true honesty to myself, I know are impossible to achieve) for this year, but instead I will try to be more balanced in everything that I do. This is where I tell you more about the photos in this post. I´ve taken them during our summer vacation last year in Tuscany. Italy´s beauty is overwhelming and for the first time in my life I could really live in the moment. So this trip has a great meaning for me.

Now let me tell what´s new. I will change my job (again) soon. When I let go of my fears and really looked inside my heart to see what I really want, then I knew it was time for the change that will bring me further in my career. I really love my job as a psychiatrist and in the last months I just wasn´t happy doing it anymore. So, time for something new!

On the other hand, I tried to remember what I used to like in my free time. I´ve begun to read again (oh, how great it is to travel all over Africa with Hemingway) and I started writing again. When I was younger, I used to write poetry, so I thought to give it a try again. It is a great way to cope with unpleasant feelings and to put an end to obsessing over everything.

And last, but not least, I´ve found out that my sister might be moving closer to me, which makes me really really happy. Time spent with family always gives me a lot of positive energy and good vibes.

On that happy note, I hope you find your balance in life!

Until next time!
Yours,
Diana
