Wishes for the New Years Eve

When it comes to fashion, I have some favourites. I consider Fashion the ultimate tool for expressing a woman’s beauty and femininity. When it comes to social events I have some expectations. The holidays are the perfect occasions to bring together favourites and to celebrate, in style, the new year to come. These are my choices for an ultimate New Years Eve lady’s look.

The Eve’s choice of clothing

Since a have a predisposition for drama, I will start my selection with one of my favourite creators – Zuhair Murad. I love this brand. It never ceases to amaze me with every new collection.

An even more spectacular appearance can be achieved with another look, also from Zuhair Murad Fall/Winter Collection.

If this look might be too dark and too revealing, one can choose to go with another dramatic entrance – the Oscar de la Renta Toile du Jouy silk-chine gown.

If Zuhair and Oscar choices where relatively easy, Marchesa gave me some troubles. But I managed to down size my selection to just two pieces. One of the looks is part of the Marchesa Resort 2018 Collection and I love it.

But the sweetest dress for the New Year’s Eve is part of the Marchesa’s Pre-Fall 2018 Collection. Can be easily accessorised, can fit in several themes parties and is more forgiving to the shoes choices.

The shoes for an entire night

Choosing the right pair of shoes for a night of fun can be a tricky and heavy. The shoes need to fit the party theme, be comfortable and most important must make you happy.

I will want to continue with my dramatic taste impact also in the shoes chapter. For that I have selected two pairs of shoes from three brands. The shoes themes are not related to the evening gowns shown above.

The second choice wears the Manolo Blahnik style and a strong colour.

For a festive and joyful celebration, there is a good chance that the So Kate from Christian Louboutin will fit perfectly in picture.

From the same shoe magician, another pair of lovely shoes, more revealing but also more demanding from the dress are the Louboutin Miragirl.

I admit the choices of shoes and dresses are not made to go together. I consider you must feel good in your shoes. That is why I make an unusual statement – why not boots. After all it is winter and you might want and feel compelled to go out, see the fireworks and dance in the snow. For that, you might love Jimmy’s Voyager booths. Check them in Diana’s article here.

But if heated soles are not what you are interested in the big night and you wish to remain in the classic selection and stick to the pumps, the Lisha are definitively a better choice.

The New Year’s Eve is about fun, about spending together the last moments of the year and start with a smile and laughter a new one. The best clothing is the one that makes you happy. Family and friends won’t love you more for the Marchesa dress or less for the lack of it. Just go with your style and dream big for the next year.

Since this is my last post for this year, I wish you all the best for 2019 – Happy New Year!

With love,
Andrei
