The Entropy I Collection brings a touch of colour in the Chaos Collection. BANG! CRASH! POW! Three new watches that fit excellently her or him. The Chaos of perfection or the perfection in Chaos? Let’s find out.
Fiona Krüger Entropy I
The Chaos Entropy I Collection was released at the beginning of September this year. Based on the Chaos Collection, the Entropy I brings a touch of colour to it. Fiona’s creative exercise proposes three colour variations: Cobalt Crash, as the name suggests, in blue, Black Bang and Purple Pow.
About Fiona Krüger
Fiona is a well-established designer with a rich background in fine arts and product design. The “lady of skulls” – as I like to call her, gained notoriety in the world of horology with her original skull watches. The Skull Collection was the first watch collection of Fiona Krüger and it was released in 2013.
In June 2017, based on her Skull wrist watches, Fiona released in collaboration with L’Epée a clock, suggestively named Vanitas.
Entropy I, Cobalt Crash
The Cobalt Crash is the blue model of the Entropy I Collection. This collection is the second design of the Chaos Collection.
The Entropy I watches come with a multi-layered, partly skeletonised dials. The Cobalt Crash features beautiful shades of blue. The visible movement makes a pleasant contrast in the background.
The Black Bang
The Black Bang, like all the other pieces in the collection, has a three-part Titanium case with brushed and polished finishing.
The dimensions sound large on paper, 48mm x 40mm with an 8.1mm thickness. But on the wrist, the watch sits comfortably, regardless of the wrist’s size.
The dial’s construction is complex: five-part two-layered skeleton dial with a polished outline, a Silicium explosion and sun-brushed plates.
The first layer is hand-polished skeletonised with rhodium plating. The second layer has a sun-brushed finish with anthracite colouring and black coloured Silicium eruptions.
Entropy I, Purple Pow
The purple version of the Entropy Collection features polished shard hour and minute hands, which hover above the movement. A large white lacquer hand indicates the hours and a skeletonized hand with lacquer detail indicates the minutes.
Metallic fragments on the underside of the sapphire mark the hours. These floating indices add to the feeling of depth.
The Entropy I Collection is powered by a mechanical manual wound movement, the Chaos I.
The movement is developed in collaboration with the renown movement manufacturer Agenhor. The brand is behind spectacular calibres used by Van Cleef & Arpels, Hermes and Harry Winston.
The Entropy I timepieces Black Bang, Cobalt Crash and Purple Pow are limited to 18 pieces each.
