Bulgari and Save the Children presents Dreams #MadeReal

bvlgari and save the children Bulgari dreams #madereal

Bvlgari and Save the children: dreams start with a vision — but it is only through determination, care and audacity that dreams are made real.

It was these shared values that first brought Bvlgari and Save the Children together in 2009, and these values that underpin their ongoing efforts to empower children through education.

For Bvlgari and Save the Children, determination has led them to pursue the same commitment for almost a decade, raising the bar each year to meet increasingly ambitious goals. Care has led to the creation of the Save the Children jewellery collection. With this inspired initiative, the Maison’s jewellery-making expertise has been used to raise US$85 million. Finally, audacity has allowed Bvlgari and Save the Children to assert that education is a right, not a privilege. It is just as fundamental as any form of sustenance, as it holds the power to change lives, proving that dreams need not remain dreams alone, if they can be made real.

Nine years ago, we embarked on a partnership with Save the Children with an audacious dream: to empower millions of children to build a better future through the power of education,” says Bvlgari CEO Jean Christophe Babin. “Like a precious piece of jewellery, a wish starts in the imagination. Almost a decade later, we are proud of the dream we had — and the commitment we have shown in helping more than a million children make their dreams come true. Now we move forward — with ambition, daring, excellence, and a steadfast determination to make more wishes come true. Because dreams last forever when they are #madereal.”

#Madereal is the new theme of Bvlgari and Save the Children’s partnership, and it’s all about giving a voice to those whose lives have been changed because of the initiative.

SOMEONE TO THANK

We all have people in our lives that have helped us achieve and grow, without whom we would not be where we are today. For Holiday 2018, Bvlgari has created a dedicated social media campaign to express gratitude for dreams #madereal. At the heart of the campaign is a series of videos starring celebrities and influencers, which launched worldwide on November 22, Thanksgiving Day.

#Madereal will tell the stories of five young people around the world who have benefited from the partnership — and show how different worlds are connected by a shared sense of gratitude.

Lily Aldridge, Jon Kortajarena, Nadine Nassib Njeim, Margaret Zhang, Amanda Steel, Eva Green, Shu Qi, Kitty Spencer, Matteo Bocelli, and Laura Harrier will also join Bvlgari and Save the Children in the new campaign, posting their own messages of thanks, and inviting followers to join in and share their own experiences using #madereal.

A story of connection, giving and global community, it aligns beautifully with the spirit of the season.

A MILLION DREAMS MADE REAL

Bvlgari and Save the Children joined forces with one dream in mind: to empower children through education. Since their journey began, Bvlgari has raised US$85M through sales of Save the Children jewellery.

With a ring that retails for S$790, a bracelet for S$820 and a pendant for S$880, US$100 from each sale goes to the charity. Funds raised through the partnership have been invested in 100 projects in 33 countries, changing the lives of more than one million at-risk children and youth through educationemergency responsepoverty reduction, and youth empowerment programs.

Most of the initiatives aim to provide access to quality education, targeting the most vulnerable children on the planet, who live in areas where natural disaster, armed or political conflict, social exclusion, disability and poverty put their right to an education at risk, or destroy it.
